I was hunting around in Apple's source code for their web pages for an image which I eventually did find. While hunting, I discovered that the admin that takes care of the site, has
a bit of humour and left
this!

What would you do if there was a rock stuck between the dualies on your tractor? Normally, in the pit one gets a metal bar and pries it out or they hook up a chain to a loader bucket
and pull it out. My boss did neither of the 2 methods as it would have required too much effort.
This was his
solution. Needless to say, I've
never seen it done that way in
all the years I've worked for him.

What is one suppose to do when one is told to not be so efficient? Is that a tell-tale sign that it's time for a job switch?!? I've been operating loader and other equipment
from time to time now for 10 years (or seasons), most of which has been spent on a loader. In this time, I've gotten to the point where I observe what the other workers are doing in
the pit and can immediantly take over if they all of a sudden have to take off to another job for whatever reason.. aside from observing kids from town trying to sneak into the pit in the
farthest of corners and along the tree line. Did I miss something? *!desufnoc*
Not to long ago there were some visitors down at my place, one of which figured I should start charging for my computer services and at a decent rate. I think I will.

Chic from Toronto, ON that calls herself and her 2 band members "
Lights". Filed under the Indie
category. I did manage to find a copy of the track "Drive My Soul" in MP3 format, so if you want it.. do the obvious!

The few nights I have walked home from town (which is about 7.5 miles North from Tim Hortons), I've found out that every once in a blue moon someone will come through and give me a ride home
or just part ways. This morning as I was nearing Blumenort, a cutie named Kayla pulled through at about 04:23. While I had just over 2 miles till my corner, my left leg was
getting sore behind the knee and my big toes felt like they were about to start blistering. This 2 mile trip I think was the highlight of my night!

It's official - I've lost 25 pounds .. since March 5 of this year. This is my intended target weight but it will yo-yo a bit from Friday to Friday as it usually does, but by the time
the next Friday rolls around I've lost whatever I gained .. which I will blame mostly on my walking damn near everywhere I go. *LoL*
As far as ISP issues go, I changed my router address to 10.0.1.1 - guess they were using 10.0.0.1 somewhere in the business link part of the network and my Mac I guess qualified to get a
name from a DNS. To make this even better, I now have a public address and could host my own site on my computer if I wanted to. Yey!

I ran across an interesting article on music the other evening while surfing (
duh!) around for whatever tweaked my interest.
Here's the
link.

This summer, judging by how things are looking so far, will be colder than normal, possibly wetter than last year, fucking high ass gas prices - which will hopefully inspire a lot of
"pump n' run" incidents and syphoning of gas tanks. I hope enough gas gets stolen to hopefully try and get a message across. To those of you that partake in
the above sports and are reading this, I support you 100%!!

The email I sent to my ISP 2 days ago, see below, has still not gotten an answer. Now either they lack even in the very basic of communication skills, or have none what so ever!
I mean, how hard can it be to respond while sitting behind a computer with your face hidden from all sorts of embarrassing moments? Granted, the email I sent may not have been very
nice.. to a point. Slackers!
I would like to do some small modifications to my site, but I'm thinking it'll involve learning Java.. which could take a while. Not cool.

Ok, so my ISP is pissing me off a bit, aside from the wonderful speed. To make this a lil less time consuming, I'll just post the exact text from the email:
1) Your servers are renaming the network address on my Mac G5 Quad. My machine has 2 network jacks, which have sequential network addresses (x.x.x.x format) that get changed
to afp://NULL.nest.rainyday.ca (file sharing). The minute I unplug the WAN cable on the router it gets its addresses back and Vista can see it. Until you guys fix this, I
won't be able to go from Vista to OS X 10.5, only OS X 10.5 to Vista. DMZ's are not setup here, yet your bloody servers are trespassing! Fix your damn servers!
2) Minor but convenient, when you quit slacking around, we would like our public IP address.
Have a good day =)
For those curious about somethings in the email, AFP is a Mac file sharing protocol; NULL is what my ISP returns to my machine so it can't be publicly accessed..
if I understand it right.

I now have a properly working install of Leopard (10.5). Before it wouldn't give me the pixel dimensions of a image file and wouldn't let me access the 'website' host directory within
the system. Now all I need to have happen is some lazy wanker at
RainyDay to get my public IP address in place! That
aside, the Wi-Fi radio we have on our tower, 900MHz band instead of our old 2.4GHz radio, is performing superbly. Speed has practically doubled! w00t!
The last person who made the cable from the old radio to the old antenna apparently didn't do a very good job. When the guy was letting it down by the rope, the connection at the
radio end of the cable broke loose and the radio fell the last 52 feet down. A quick look and shake indicated only the plastic casing had broke and there was a shiny brass coloured
part inside that was now visible. I have no idea what that was for. The weather-proof plastic case it was in had one of its mounting tabs busted after it landed on the wheel
barrel. It was pretty amusing for me. =]
The new radio and antenna was in place before I formatted my Mac as I had one download I did
not want to lose data from!

ALERT: Those of you who have sent me eMail over the course of the last few days and are wondering if I'll be online in the near future - be patient. I have backed up all my current
data and going o be formatting my Mac. I have not been on either messenger service for the last few days cause my conversations are logged and I don't feel like going hunting all
over just for the last few files. I should be back up and running by the time you read this in the morning. Thanks.

Apparently I have between 1.5 and 1.75 volts running through me. Shocking? Once again, I have forgotten some of what I was going to post here... rock on. On that note, I'll
leave you with
this and
this. Yes, the puzzling chain lock from hell is real - I took the time to
verify that.
ThinkGeek has a habit of posting some weird shit on their site on April Fool's Day - religiously!

Interesting.. I never posted a bloody thing in March this year. Wow? I was on 2 vacations in March, within a 3 week period - BC for a week, home for a week, South Dakota for a
week. During my week in the States, I have learned a few things which might be better shared in person. I started April off by charging my car up the other day and going for a
cruise in the sticks. With not much else to say, I have found out that it doesn't seem to bother me that I have been slacking off with being online and doing site updates, but still
haven't forgotten that some of you actually do come back to check on things. Maybe it's cause *gasp!* I'm waiting for work to start.. not sure though as it might have to wait till
May.
21-FEB-2008
This morning I officially found out that the new release of PitHelmet, beta if I'm not mistaken though it doesn't say, works just fine with Safari 3. The best ad blocker around is back -
Mac only, soz. w00t!
Some of you out there know we had an eclipse last night, and you might suspect I took pictures - you're right! Guess what?! You'll have to wait till I got them online.
Used a few different settings and shooting modes, in JPG and SRF (Sony Raw Format). The original raw files will be about 16MB +/- a bit. Unless specifically asked for, files
will be posted in PNG format and the dimensions will be smaller.

On Friday, before I went to sleep at about 10:30, AM, I bought tickets for a weeks stay in British Columbia - March 6 to the 12th. I expect to come back with a lot of pictures among
other things. I found an in depth review on a CD I own about 2 days ago. The CD is entitled Hell's Pit, by Insane Clown Posse. Just so you been warned, the
review contains some language some viewers may not want to see, but if you can get by that, it's
very interesting. I also found out
tonight, or should I say early morning, that the serials for XP on the net have been around for too long, leaving me with few options to get my install of XP 'legal' again.
Damn you, Microsoft!
I've been informed by a friend online that I have that "psycho pretty boy next door" look. *snickers*

Impending doom or impending bloom? Yahoo is being offered nice sums of cash for a few different companies for ownership. Personally, I
hope Apple takes them over, then things will look pretty and Mac will have two messenger applications to merge into one supreme messenger! =]
What about Flickr, which is a Yahoo spin off...?!?

Seems like we got a new connection somewhere in the mess of things with our ISP. A neat lil app I have called 'Little Snitch' informed me that we were connecting to the rainyday.ca
network of servers - wifi3.nest.rainyday.ca was one of them. At this point, it does not seem to be an improvement. Colour me unimpressed. Time will tell. =|

I found some new "toys", one is WordPress and the other is Fireworks.. which I just used to draw my own title image for another site folder I made tonight. This is
my
WordPress site, and on the top of that page you can see my crafty Fireworks art. Short entry ya I know... sue me.

The hunt is over. I now have a copy of Packet Tracer v4.11 - Tutorial not included. Not sure if I want it or not. I made the program crash already. Guess Cisco
don't have crash free programs either. *LoL* If messing with a physical CCNA lab is just as confusing as Packet Tracer makes it seem like, I might trash the idea of taking any related
course. But, I'm more of a hands on character, so the luck should be mine.
On the 12th, me and a buddy went out for 'coffee', then we buggered off to Video Max so I could rent some Blu-Ray movies. Then, he had to do some shopping, so we buggered off to
Stupid Store. Towards the end we were down one isle, and the people next to us were done what they were doing and so the mother pushed her cart by, I turned to look at the glass door
in front of me so as not to scare the lil girl that was following her mom. As she walked by, I watched her in the glass only to notice that she was staring so hard at the pony tail I
had that seemed like she was going to burn a hole in my skull.

You know, it's funny, insurance companies, cops and the like all say that seat belts save lives. I've never agreed with them. Point proven now again in Moncton, QC. The
only survivor was NOT wearing his seatbelt. If the only survivor wasn't wearing his seatbelt, what are they trying to do? Get us all, or at least some of killed, by
making it a law for us to wear them? Makes you wonder a bit...
(07:01) Update: It seems I have managed to find a copy of the program I was looking for.
This will be verified when I actually finish downloading it to my drive.
13-JAN-2008
We've had a few nut heads that have gotten stuck in the ditch across from our place in the past, but the one that got stuck there last night really takes the cake. We got some
neighbours on the opposite side of the road, about and eighth of a mile I'm guessing. They guy went in by their driveway... and got out just before our's. I'm not sure
how he managed to go in - unless he was passing someone, on freakishly slippery ice. Even walking on it my feet almost landed me on me ass.
The key for my Windows XP I had gave out last week during updates, and I'm not entirely sure, but I have a funny feeling that the one I have for Vista Ultimate is on the brink of
extinction. Not cool! I'm not paying out $500 just to use Vista. Damn demo keys.. =)
It seems I've gone in search of some practically impossible to get software without doing a Cisco course. The software: Packet Tracer v4.11 or newer - older does not count!
First one to get a working copy to me gets $50. PayPal or Cash. If I find it first, you get nothing. Any Ciscoziens up for the offer?

I was doing updates on the computer upstairs earlier on this night. Than I went to my room to do some stuff on my Mac, and attempted to get somewhere's with Leopard Server - went
nowhere boldly. Then I had the bright idea of updating
Test Dummy. The previous night I told the WGA update to take a hike. Who know
I would need that update tonight... only to have it tell me that my key was invalid. Damn Micro$haft! Time to order a new one... and I renamed my search button. *LoL*

I was browsing GoogleEarth's stary sky and I stumbled across this
supernova. Just figured I'd post it. I'm way past sleepy.
Whoo-hoo!... right... where's a 2x4?

Happy New Years!
This year, I'm going to try and mess with PHP. Online and at home on a networked server. Ultimately this will lead to a major overhaul of the site... for the better I
think. When that happens, you
will notice. Another thing I will need to learn is 'Strict XHTML' coding. It don't like some of the tags I've gotten used to using
to make pages display one way or another. Squee!
Do you see the scrolling text in the 'status' bar beneath this viewing pane? That would be where your browser of choice shows the address of the link your mouse is hovering
over. Curious how many of you see it...

Those of you that remember my last site, granted you still know who the heck I am, I still have all of it. It is available on request. You can use the 'Contact' link above, or
use another address I may have given you some time in the past. For now, it's just gonna be new stuff... unless I add it. Don't be shy.
