T. Ray Earnhardt is an expert metal artist from North Carolina. He is a traditional Blacksmith and metal sculptor. Ray chooses to use all reclaimed materials for his pieces. Some materials used may date back as far as the late 1800's. Ray has the ability to take the pure beauty of nature and freeze it in time with his work. He has stepped a little out of the box with this featured piece, "Chompa". This statue towers at over two feet tall and features a funtional cone incense burner made into the removeable metal tongue. This allows the smoke from the incense to rise up through nostrils of "Chompa", which tops off this wonderful conversation piece. Every piece of this dragon is formed by hand to perfect detail, including over twenty hand forged teeth and hundreds of realistic scales. This item will not be recreated and is truly one of a kind. "Chompa" was completed on April 20th, 2009. This was an item that was to planned to remain with the artist for his personal collection, but after many requests, is being placed for sale exclusively on Ebay only. Like most artwork, pictures cannot reveal every aspect of a piece. This item is only fully appreciated once it is experienced in real life. This is surely a rare formed piece of metal art that could be enjoyed for many generations to come.
